How Do I Find Them?:
In order to find the perfect institution for your son or daughter; follow this step by step approach below. First, go online and search around until you find the closest institution in terms of distance. Then contact them and ask questions regarding both academic level and availability. Finally, schedule a meeting and take notes down after discussing all aspects of tuition fees and program requirements.
Next Steps Once Your Child Enters Their Program:
Your kid is going through therapy but still requires some extra support academically, well no problem; this is why you decided to enroll him/her in this institution.
If you’re wondering whether or not your student qualifies for special needs support, there are many things you should look for to find out: Do they struggle with reading, writing, math, spelling, understanding language, listening comprehension, problem solving and/or working memory? Does it show up early or late in development? Is there evidence of developmental delay, dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, ADHD or autism spectrum disorder? Do they appear anxious or depressed? Have they ever experienced abuse or trauma? These questions can provide insight into possible underlying causes for your student’s struggles.
Here are five tips to consider when it come to helping your child with his special educational needs:
1. Be proactive and ask lots of questions. Ask your doctor, teacher, pediatrician, nurse practitioner, school psychologist or therapist about any concerns you have regarding your student’s behavior or academic achievement. Don’t hesitate to call the office of special ed if you feel like there is something else behind their difficulties. Your questions about how they learn, interact socially with peers, communicate, work independently and complete assignments will help the educators in determining which type of intervention would benefit the most.
2. Find a good specialist in your community. A qualified educator with experience dealing specifically with children with disabilities will be better equipped than anyone else to identify your child’s particular strengths and weaknesses.
Finding special needs schools in cities around the world could be challenging enough but this city of Montreal in Canada makes things even tougher because they are really strict when making decisions for kids who would like support and assistance. There are many different laws governing school systems across North America and Europe which often leave children without proper guidance and care in terms of schooling. For those living outside of North American and European countries however you should expect far less trouble and perhaps better conditions than many Canadian parents face every day. Not only does the government provide a decent education system in order to assist these young people but most importantly many families are willing to put extra effort into helping them thrive socially while attending school and developing lifelong friendships. If you feel that someone else deserves to be recognized for offering additional attention to children please consider donating to my page. Your donations truly go towards helping me provide valuable services to needy individuals and groups worldwide. Donating is always appreciated even if you cannot contribute financially. Thank you sincerely in advance for reading this message. As long as I am able to keep doing work for others, my family and friends will never lack anything. My life’s mission has become giving back to society through charitable ventures and philanthropic efforts. Special needs children often get left behind. Most parents struggle to find quality programs because they assume special education teachers don’t understand kids like theirs — but the truth is, most regular educators are trained precisely to meet those needs.
Tutoring services provide personalized instruction to special needs children ages six through 18. Children learn life lessons by working alongside a mentor teacher.
While tuition costs vary depending on location, many schools offer scholarships to qualified families.
Focus on small parts of lessons first
Use specific questions rather than general ones
Ask questions that require specific responses only
Allow ample breaks after every lesson
Provide positive reinforcement
If possible, ask parents/guardians before conducting group discussions or interviews
Tutor One’s special needs program offers customized lessons. Our teachers work with students individually, helping them achieve their maximum potential, both academically and socially. If necessary, they use different teaching strategies depending on the child’s strengths and weaknesses. As part of Tutor One’s specialized approach towards supporting and educating children experiencing various types of disabilities, the organization focuses on providing educational programs adapted specifically to meet these unique circumstances. Through its services, Tutor One helps families living with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, or other learning difficulties improve academic achievement, communication, self care, motor skills, language development as well as personal growth through individualized instruction.
Mount Royal Learning Disabilities Tutoring Services include:
• Academic support
• Homework assistance
• Test preparation
• Online homework help
• Test prep for standardized tests such as CPA, SAT I/II, GRE, TOFEL, GED, etc.
Tutor One offers customized packages according to individual needs. For example, if students would like to study French, we would assign a teacher who speaks fluent Francais and is certified through CPEI in Montreal and Paris. If English is preferred, then our staff would be assigned accordingly. All of our instructors speak both languages fluently, which enables them to provide effective communication during class sessions.

Special needs education in Canada
There was once a day in which every child had a “differently abled kid next door”; today those days seem long gone, but they aren’t entirely forgotten. As parents across the country become increasingly aware of the issues facing people who struggle with developmental disabilities, many families are opting out of mainstream schools in favour of alternative options like home schooling and private school tuition. However, the reality is that most Canadians don’t know much about special educational programs for kids with various types of physical, mental or emotional conditions. So, here’s a brief primer on what you need to know if your child requires extra attention in order to learn effectively.
What does ‘special education’ mean exactly?
Special ed isn’t always synonymous with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs); in fact, it refers to any type of disability requiring additional attention beyond regular classroom requirements. Some other examples include intellectual disabilities, hearing impairment and visual impairments. In addition, there are certain categories of kids who fall under this heading, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and ADHD.
Who qualifies for special ed?
According to Canadian regulations, any student enrolled full time in grade 9 or 10 who receives less than 80% academic achievement marks in English and/or French must be considered eligible for special ed, unless his or her condition falls outside of the scope outlined above. This includes both mainstreamed and non-mainstreamed students, regardless of family income level or parental education.
Canada offers various kinds of scholarships for children and teens with disabilities; however, they usually fall under several categories. One example is the Alberta Education Student Services Grant which was designed especially for Canadians living abroad and studying in Canada for educational purposes. They are awarded to eligible Albertans whose disability prevents them from continuing studies due to age restrictions or other issues. Another program is funded by Citizenship & Immigration Canada called the Youth Entrepreneurial Development Program for Students with Disabilities (YEDP). This initiative provides funding for youth ages 15 through 24 to pursue entrepreneurial ideas related to technology. YEDP grants include both financial assistance and mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs. Both of these programs are meant to inspire young adults with disabilities to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors after graduating school, and this may ultimately lead to employment.
Here’s another great resource for parents interested in learning everything they can about finding a private special needs preschool near them.
They must be properly diagnosed and assessed by certified professionals who specialize in educating youth with developmental delays/disabilities prior applying for funding. Their families and guardians are also required to undergo testing to ensure proper diagnosis and assessment.

Who Should Adopt TutorOne’s Tutoring Methodology?
Every parent knows that the average public school education system has its faults, but few know that there are alternatives. Every year, parents become educated more about the effectiveness of individualizing children’s education. They understand that learning styles and learning strategies vary greatly among students and that students require additional focus and encouragement to excel, especially in subjects such as math, science, and reading. Students learn differently than adults; children absorb knowledge faster and retain it longer than adults can; and they’re less prone to procrastination. TutorOne’s comprehensive approach teaches kids to think positively, and teaches students when they don’t perform up to par.
Testimonial By A Parent Like You
"My son recently turned 15, and started taking Advanced Placement exams. He was doing quite poorly in Spanish II and English III, having scored only a 2 and 3 respectively. With one week left before he needed to take the AP test, I decided to enroll him in TutorOne Private Tutoring. His teacher had told me that he was a bright kid, but just didn’t put forth the effort required to excel. My son came home every day telling me about the amazing learning experience he was having with TutorOne. He did score a 4 on his Spanish II test, and his overall grade point average went from a 2.9 (D) to a 4.8 (A+) in Spanish, and a 1.7 (F) to a 4.0 (A) in English. Most importantly though, my son learned to love his studies and got a kick out of seeing his grades soaring. It was truly eye opening to see how one lesson per week changed everything." ~ Lisa H.,Parent, California
The TutorOne Difference

TutorOne is committed to the belief that every student thrives best in a positive, fun-loving, nurturing learning environment. The TutorOne Difference is about creating an engaging atmosphere in which kids feel motivated to excel. The majority of TutorOne schools operate as small academies; they offer individual learning environments that allow students to interact within a group or with one-to-one tutors.
